Best Niche For Affiliate Marketing 2020

Disclosure: Bear in mind that some of the links in this post are affiliate links and if you go through them to make a purchase I will earn a commission. Keep in mind that I link these companies and their products because of their quality and not because of the commission I receive from your purchases. The decision is yours, and whether or not you decide to buy something is completely up to you

How do you say it, “niche,” “nitch,” or “neesh?” Regardless of how it’s pronounced, choosing the right niche is an important step in every entrepreneur’s journey towards creating a business.

Wait, but first, what is a niche?

A Niche is a specialized segment of the market fit for a particular kind of product or service.

Having a niche for your business means you have a targeted audience in which you create content.

Not only that, a niche is important because if you try to cater to everyone your overall marketing and message won’t speak to anyone.

Is there such a thing as a “good” or “bad” niche?

Depending on who you ask, you will find different answers to this question. Some people believe that there are niches out there that should be avoided. They are deemed as “bad”.

Most of the time, this idea is formed on the basis of how profitable one is within a certain niche.

I’m going to tell you, however, there is no such thing as a bad niche. And I know that sounds ridiculous considering the title of this article is “Best Niche For Affiliate Marketing, ” but hear me out.

The reason I say there is no such thing as a bad niche is that there is a perspective audience for every product you sell. I don’t know if you remember but Pet Rocks were definitely a fad once upon a time ago.

When it comes to your niche, you’ve either done adequate research or not. That’s all there is to it.

In essence, what you sell doesn’t matter nearly as much as how you sell it

Now, with that being said, today I’m going to give the best niche for affiliate marketing in 2020. These aren’t “good” niches by definition, they are merely tried and tested ones, therefore making it easier for you to see results.

These are niches I recommend especially if you are a new affiliate marketer who’s just starting and needs some direction.

Remember, there is no magical niche that will make you successful. If you’ve done your research and found that you have an actual, valuable solution to a real demand that exists, you will be successful, period.

So, without beating that horse too much, let’s begin.

the evergreen niches

You cant write a post about niches without mentioning what is known as “The Evergreen Niches.” These are the niches, as I said earlier, that has been tried and tested.

Why are they called Evergreen Niches?

In order for a niche to be considered Evergreen, it has to be one with everlasting appeal. Meaning, it doesn’t rely on seasonal trends or gimmicks to attract customers; the products and services within these niches are ones that we inherently need or desire.

The niches in this class are:

evergreen niches: health wealth and relationship

These niches are founded on core human needs, ones that never really change over time. Whether it’s 1720 or 2020, humans will always try to preserve their health, build wealth & earn money, or maintain relationships.

Because these niches are lasting, you can imagine that the amount of people within them is vast. This shouldn’t deter you from choosing one of these niches but, it should get you wondering how you will stand out amongst the competition.

Note: A common mistake many budding affiliate marketers make is avoid going into a niche because they feel it’s too saturated. The reality is, if a niche is large with a lot of players in it, it’s because it’s a healthy profitable niche with a lot of money to go around. The Evergreen Niches are no exception.

Next, I’m going to break these three niches down a bit further so, perhaps, you can find a category that resonates with you.

health niche

Within the Health niche, you have more defined groups such as:

  • Digestive health/healthy gut
  • Weight loss
  • Anti-aging
  • Diabetes
  • Arthritis
  • Back and neck pain
  • Hair loss
  • Skincare
  • Heartburn
  • Fatigue
  • Reproductive health
  • Healthy eating

One thing you will notice within the Health niche is that none of these topics are going anywhere soon. If anything, as we gain more knowledge in the health-related fields, these categories will only expand further.

Ideally, when choosing one of these sub-niche for your business, you’ll want to find a topic you are passionate about. Perhaps, one of the above is a condition you suffer from or a problem one of your loved ones face.

Remember, you don’t have to be an expert or professional in your niche to make a profit. In fact, sharing your personal experience, doing research and publishing from credible sources, can go a lot further in most cases.

Not to mention, When a topic hits close to home, you are more likely to invest your time in promoting it to people who need your products or services.

If you aren’t sure where to find products in the Health niche, an easy place to start is either ClickBank or Amazon Associates. This, of course, depends on the type of products you want to sell, as ClickBank is known for its digital products and Amazon it’s physical.

the best affiliate programs in the health niche

There are also independent affiliate programs you can find, focused on the Health niche:

1.DietBet

DietBet puts a unique twist on the weight loss community by incorporating games and rewards with losing weight.

As an affiliate, you create games within the program for people to join. For each game you create, you get to take 5-10% of the total winnings. And, the payout is variable, meaning the more participants there are, the more you earn.

2. Vitamin Shoppe

If you want to promote vitamins, supplements, and a myriad of health and wellness products, then Vitamin Shoppe’s affiliate program might be a good place for you.

As someone who personally shops here, I can attest to the thousands of products they have. As an affiliate, you will have over 25,000 products to promote at a 9% commission.

3. The Mayo Clinic Diet

One of the largest payouts I have yet to see in the Health niche comes from the Mayo Clinic Diet Program.

The Mayo Clinic has come up with its first and only weight-loss diet, created by weight-loss experts. The program equips customers with everything they need to lose weight: recipes, fitness plans, shopping guides, weight trackers and more.

As an affiliate of this program, you will earn 75% of the sales price, for every subscriber you refer.

4. FitBit

Most of us have heard of Fitbit, but did you know they have their own affiliate program as well? Yep, you can make money, while also improving the fitness of others by offering FitBit products.

And because Fitbit is already a household brand, you can expect high conversion rates, plus earn a 3% commission from every sale.

the wealth niche

The next Evergreen niche is one that continues to grow in size and popularity more and more each year.

Let’s face it, all of us want to make more money. And with all these people popping up on YouTube, making millions online through affiliate marketing and drop shipping, why wouldn’t you? They make it look like everyone can get in on the action.

The thing is, most people don’t know where to even begin.

This is where the Wealth niche makes its money. You will notice a lot of the products help teach others how to make more money.

It’s genius if you think about it. Most people are willing to pay big bucks for a product that claims it will make you wealthy.

Here are a few categories within the Wealth niche:

  • Making Money Online
  • Blogging
  • Affiliate marketing
  • E-commerce
  • Freelance writing
  • Forex
  • Investing
  • Real estate investing
  • Entrepreneurship

If you have a piece of particular knowledge in any of these categories, then perhaps the Wealth niche is a good way for you to share your expertise. You could create your own information products, courses, ebooks, or coaching programs.

Also, if there are any programs or courses that have been extra helpful to you, you can promote those as an affiliate.

Once again, you don’t need a masters in Finance or Business to jump into this niche. Sometimes simple investing or budgeting advice is all people need.

Ultimately, this niche has staying power because people will always want to make money in the market, regardless of how the economy is doing.

Most of the affiliate programs related to the wealth niche sell digital products. This can be courses, training, webinars, amongst other things.

Typically, a good place to start with your program search is ClickBank, JVZoo, or Digistore. Mind you, there are more rip-offs than there are good products in this niche, so be diligent as you search.

the best affiliate programs in the wealth niche

Here are a few great affiliate programs you can look into for the wealth niche

1.AWeber

Because Email marketing can be such a powerful stream of income, one of the best programs to promote is AWeber.

AWeber is perhaps the best opt-in email marketing service for small businesses.

Plus, as an AWeber affiliate, There is no upfront cost and you can expect to make 30% recurring commissions.

There is potential for huge earnings because monthly payments compound with the more people you refer.

2. The Six Figure Mentors

If you are looking for an affiliate program that is both popular and offers a large payout then you’ll want to look into Six Figure Mentors.

However, there is a catch.

In order to make good money as an affiliate, you have to sign up for their membership program as well.

Yes, they do offer a free sign up option as well but, the top paying commissions only go to affiliate/members.

Typically I wouldn’t recommend a program like this but with the commissions Six-Figure Mentor offers, it’s difficult not to.

As a member/ affiliate you can earn huge commission rates, most of which are on a recurring basis. If you want to see what I mean, here’s their commission chart.

3. BlueHost

Applying to become an affiliate of a web hosting provider is also a wise move to make. Why? Because having web hosting is essential to having your own website or running your online business.

There is simply no way around it.

Now, there are several web host providers you can choose from–and in all honesty, they are all pretty good—but I recommend Bluehost.

I choose Bluehost because they are one of the biggest hosting sites in the industry and they offer unlimited earnings to affiliates.

Not to mention, for every person you refer to Bluehost you get $65 which can seriously add up over time.

4. Shopify

The last program I recommend to look at in the wealth niche is the eCommerce giant, Shopify.

eCommerce has become so popular over the past several years, making Shopify one the world’s leading brands for setting up online businesses.

Shopify’s affiliate program is free to join and allows affiliates to monetize their audience and earn a cool $58 for each user who joins. You can also earn up to $2000 for every Shopify Plus referral you make.

Now, with earnings that good you must wonder how easy it is to get into Shopify’s affiliate program.

Well, the truth is, it is pretty tough.

You’ll want to apply to this program when you feel like you have the best chance of getting accepted. You definitely won’t regret it

the relationship niche

The online dating market generates over 4 billion per year worldwide. With tens of millions of people who are either looking for love, in a relationship or going through a separation, there is a vast market for this niche.

The good thing about this niche, just like the other evergreens, you don’t have to be a dating or relationship expert to market in it.

In fact, there are several ways you can collect a paycheck in this niche, even if you are a single bachelor who has no interest in looking for love personally.

If you are interested in entering into this market, here are several sub-niches you should look into

  • Online dating
  • Senior Dating
  • Approaching women
  • Breakup and divorce coping strategies
  • Relationship nurturing
  • Getting your ex back
  • Marriage Counseling

Today, more people are embracing the idea of online dating, in fact, 15% of Americans use online dating sites.

And as sad as it may be, divorce is also very prevalent today, which shows the need for this industry.

There are multiple products within the dating and relationship niche, from low-ticket items (like reports or course) to high-end offers (seminars and personal coaching.)

The best part about getting into this niche is the amount of overlap there is between the sub-niches. As an affiliate marketer, you have endless opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell related products.

the best affiliate programs in the relationship niche

If you decide to get into the dating and relationship niche, here are some of the top affiliate programs to join:

1.eHarmony

Everyone has heard of eHarmony and that’s because it is the most trusted dating site there is. People of all ages and demographics have used eHarmony to find their compatible match and established long-lasting relationships.

Affiliates for eHarmony can earn up to $188 for a single subscription, with a 65% commission rate. Not to mention, they offer their affiliate partners top-notch services and ongoing support.

You also have the trust and credibility of the brand behind you, which means more people are likely to sign up.

2. Match.com

Another well-known dating site, Match.com pioneered the internet dating industry in 1995.

Even though eHarmony is the most trusted, Match.com is the most universally recognized, serving more than 24 countries, in 15 different languages.

Affiliates earn 75% on all new subscriptions and up 25% in bonuses. They also have access to a handful of seller tools such as landing pages, interactive search boxes, promotional discounts, and free trial offers.

3. Elite Singles

Yet another dating site, but one that is quite different from the first two. Elite Singles, as the name suggests, focuses on matching professional people who share relatively similar economic and educational backgrounds.

As an affiliate of Elite Singles, you shouldn’t expect the high commission rates you see with eHarmony and Match.com. Elite Singles offers $7 per lead, which isn’t anything to write home about

However, because Elite Singles is such a targeted sub-niche, you can expect very low competition.

4. Marriage Fitness with Mort Fertel

Marriage Fitness with Mort Fertel is an alternative to counseling, for people in a troubled relationship. The products and services offered fit every situation and budget.

The products include digital learning options, home learning kits, teleseminars, maintenance programs, and private 1-on-1 sessions with Mort Fertel.

Commissions range in price from $10 to $200 per sale. This affiliate program also offers 365-day cookies, which is a great bonus!

non evergreen niches

I don’t want you to think you absolutely must choose one of the evergreen niches. There are plenty of other niches out there besides the traditional three.

the pet niche

Imagine just for a second the number of dog and cat owners there are all around the world.

If you are having a tough time its because your imagination is the limit here. There are pet owners quite literally everywhere.

This is a sign of a niche that is not going away any time soon. If anything, it will only continue to grow. Don’t believe me? Check out some of these numbers.

the market size of the pet niche

Pet owners are a fanatical group of consumers. Seriously, in some cities, people are willing to pay up to $100 per day for reliable pet sitters.

And can you blame us? We pet owners want to give our furry companions the best of everything, whether that be food, toys, or healthcare treatment.

There are even couples who aren’t having kids and, instead, are raising their pets as their “fur babies” for crying out loud!

My point is this niche is very profitable and has a full array of products to sell. One would be silly not to tap into it.

Not sure what you would sell in the pet niche? Here are several options available to you

  • pet food
  • pet Bedding
  • pet toys
  • Obedience courses
  • pet clothing
  • Healthcare products
  • Pet sitting

With the popularity of this niche steadily growing, you’re probably wondering whether it’s over-saturated.

While it’s true the pet niche has seen an influx of new brands, most of them don’t do enough research to truly set themselves apart. This leads to the same products being sold over and over again.

For you, this can be great news.

By taking the time to research and understand the pet niche and how to market to them, you can gain an advantage over those who have not invested the time and effort into doing so.

In this case, it won’t matter if the niche is saturated because you’ll be marketing the best products.

2. Zooplus
3. Brain Training 4 Dogs
4. Ollie
5. FurHaven
Technology Niche

Last, is perhaps my favorite niche on this list, Technology. I think what I like most about this niche is all the different avenues it offers.

With the newest iPhones, Galaxys, and game consoles, rolling out every year there is so much to talk about in the technology niche.

The best content creators in this niche do extremely well with reviewing the latest tech products, but that is merely one direction you can go with this niche.

Some topics worth mentioning in the technology niche are:

  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Digital Technology
  • Wearable Technology
  • Information Technology
  • Phones and Gadgets
  • Media
  • Cloud computing
  • Tech News
  • Electric Cars
  • Gaming

The thing about technology is that we all have access to it (I mean you are reading this article, right?) And like the other niches, you don’t have to be an expert in the field, you simply have to provide your honest feedback and opinions.

Also when choosing products in this niche, you have thousands of choices. Look at Affiliate programs like Amazon’s. Some of the best products to sell are electronics because most of them are high-ticket.

But even you don’t choose Amazon’s Affiliate Program, there are other Programs within the technology niche:

1.Microsoft
2. Sony
3. Twitch
4. Tiger Direct
5. Movavi

Final Thoughts

That is it for my list of the best niche for affiliate marketing in 2020.

I hope you remember, when deciding on your niche, you certainly want to do your due diligence in selecting a viable one for your business.

Please don’t get caught up in the idea of choosing a “good” niche or “bad” niche because at the end of the day there is no such thing. What matters most is you get up and running, instead of the decision paralyzing you into inaction.

The way you truly find your niche is by testing out your ideas, and seeing whether your business takes off or not. If not, that’s fine, you can always take what you’ve learned from your attempts and apply it to a new idea.

If you have been struggling to decide on your niche, I hope this post has introduced you to some options you didn’t know you had available.

However, if you think you have found the niche you’ve been looking for, I say to confirm its viability and go for it. Start getting content created right away, it doesn’t matter whether It’s through a Youtube channel, website, or blog.

Feeling like you aren’t ready is understandable but all the growth and learning come from actually doing.

I look forward to hearing about your success.
